This includes design strategies and energy modeling. We use high-performance envelopes, air barrier systems, sun control and shading, careful selection of windows and glazing, passive solar heating, natural ventilation, and water conservation to deliver projects with superior durability, comfort and energy efficiency.

Design
Our project team will work with you to develop a project plan: Clients philosophy, goals, and desired design, functional space requirements, usage zoning and building code review, conceptual digital 3D models, outline level of finish and material selections or allowances, and Net Zero energy design. Detailed construction drawings are prepared with dimensions, structural details, exterior details, wall sections, and detailed floor plans showing cabinets, built ins, special interior features and an initial electrical layout.
Plan
We are available to assist you in making the best selections for your home. Our experience has provided us with a list of suppliers who have provided us with a good combination of selection, pricing and service in the past. We partner with you to plan a healthy budget and timeframe for your project. We consult with you during each step of the design, planning and building stages to make sure you are getting the house you've been dreaming of.
Build
Once we receive permit approval, we move forward with the construction of your project. We have a detailed construction schedule to make sure we stay within your budget. As your project progresses, you may change your mind on some design aspects or there may be elements you wish to add. We are here to help. We are flexible and offer creative solutions to help finalize the details along the way.
How we develop energy efficient homes
We base our models on key design guidelines associated with High-Performance Building. After moving past conceptual design, we build an energy model to see how your home will use and consume energy throughout the year. We then adapt our building assemblies to the best option for you.
